Um. What the hell was that?
The dress scene from "Stranger Than Paradise." That's jazz musician John Lurie and Eszter Balint (who is also a singer). The other main character n the movie is Richard Edson's who was the drummer in Konk and Sonic Youth. You can see him now in an insurance commercial (He is Risk who never sleeps). Eve (Eszter)plays that tape recording of Screamin' Jay Hawkins all the time while she is in New York while waiting to move to Cleveland. Cleveland, of course, Is Screamin' Jay's home. but, you knew that. She wears the dress when she leaves the Apartment to go to Cleveland, but when she gets on the street she peels it off to reveal her regular clothes and throws the dress in the garbage.
