How about some classics? When I was your age:
My parents smoked 2 packs of cigs a day -- each!-- and drove us around in a car with the windows rolled up and NO seatbelts anywhere and I turned out OK!
I rode the bus with a kid named Wille Walker who was 6 feet tall in the 5th grade and who beat up his homeroom teacher and the schoolbus driver -- all in one afternoon -- and I turned out OK!
I helped make Happy Days a #1 TV show and never questioned the fact that it was set in the 1950s and there was segregation and that black people couldn't come into Arnold's, and I turned out OK!
I ate Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Captain Crunch and Cookie Crunch like they were going out of style and I turned out OK!
