Living Vicariously

Brother Mike and his daughter Ellen recently went to NYC to see Spamalot.
Here is a picture of Ellen on top of the Empire State Building, or as Lucy calls it, The Entire State Building.

Ellen made a movie about the last days of work on the robot team at Liverpool High School. You can see it by clicking on these here words.

Here is a photo that I don't need to describe.

There sure a lot of people in New York.

For contrast, here is apicture of downtown Marion. If you take a right but don't go on the railroad overpass you might be able to find my office - under the overpass.

Here's Lucy looking mischevious.

Here's Lucy with her hands on the column of truth. She is not telling the truth.

This is the serious side of Lucy.

A closeup of Lucy saying, "chicken butt."

Lucy really wanted a picture taken with an umbrella.

This is the official portrait.

The making of Lucy and Shandy go to Pluto

Lucy and I made our second collage-style photo movie. This one is about an imaginary trip to the planet Pluto with her cat Shandy. (you need to click on the pictures to view all their details - they are glorious.)

Here is a picture of Lucy and Shandy before they left on their trip.

Here is the rocket ship (purple is Lucy's favorite color) shortly after blast off.

Lucy taught Shandy how to play Uno.

Most of the time Lucy won the Uno matches.

Here is a depiction of Lucy and Shandy in their space suits.

Lucy and Shandy returned to Earth because they missed Lucy's horribly deformed parents.

Basketball fever

On the eve of the Super Bowl we have basketball fever.
That's becasue Lucy and I have started atteneding Start Smart Basketball camp.
Here are some photos from the first night.

No one was paying attention, including me, while I described the proper placement of the hands.

She never looks directly at me.

Shooting the soft ball. I don't think this one made it in, but it is a pretty big deal that she is shooting with one hand.

The idea of the program is that parents teach their children the proper techniques before they enter a competitive program. The first night was a little hectic mainly because I think kids and parents were a little unclear on the object.
I had to run a lot more than I anticipated.
